if you want a second account, you have to buy a second copy of the game.

You can buy a second "key" to use (ie account) either by going to a store and buying a box with the disc's, or you can go to the PlayNC site and buy a key for it online. Here's the link:
http://www.plaync.com/store/gw_purchase.html Just click on the bottom link to buy from PlayNC. Once you have bought the new key.. I believe you can add another key to your pre-existing account.. log-into your account then click "Edit Account" .. I believe you can add cd-key's there for more accounts, but I'm not sure as I only have 1 account.. sorry I'm not too sure on the specific's, but I am sure that you are allowed to own multiple accounts at the same time. Just remember though, you won't be able to share storage between each "account" - each "account" is a seperate account with 4 character spots and it's own storage space. |

Whoa, hold up. Are you saying, I can pay a measly 40 bucks and get a second account that is merged with my first? IE: Have 8 character slots that share unlocks?
Can anyone confirm this? |

Yes, but what about unlocks, someone tell me unlocks are shared please. Hell, I might buy two more accounts if thats the case (Im an extremist after all).
Oh, what about guilds? Are all characters bound to one guild, or can you have two different guilds? *acts like a kid in a candy store* I NEED ANSWERS! /breath... |

everything is *seperate*. Each account has it's own 4 character slots, it's own storage and it's on locked/unlocked skills/equipment. What you unlock on 1 account will *NOT* be unlocked on the other account. If you want it on the other account, you will have to unlock in on that account.
And since guild membership is per account the only way to have characters from your 2nd, 3rd, etc account be in your guild would be to invite them into your guild. They won't automatically be in your guild because your 1st account is in that guild. At least I think that's how it works with guilds. I might be wrong about that.. but I'm sure that the unlocks is kept seperate, just as the storage & character spots are kept seperate. |

Hi,
this comment may be a little off topic, but may be of interest. I started playing Guild Wars with one account several weeks ago, and since my wife also wanted to play, we purchased a second license. Since we already had the CD's and wanted to team up right away, we tried to purchase just the license via playNC. But we found out that it was (slightly) more expensive to buy just an additional license from playNC than it was to purchase a complete game from the internet shop here in Denmark where we got the first game. So seeing as we could get the entire game (CD's, manual, etc.) we decided to wait the day or two it took to purchase a complete new game. BTW this is a legit shop and a legit game; no pirate copy. The difference in price seems wierd: why need to pay more for a second license than it costs to get the entire game? But I assume this is due to the difference in pricing between countries. Too bad I couldn't get the license only from a Danish supplier. |

We have 3 accounts. All we do is use a different key code and e-mail address.
To access, chnage the e-mail address and go in. Each of the 3 are totally seperate, and we had to join each to the guild. |

Damnitall bah. . .
Edit: actually, all you have to do is give the unid'ed items to one account for the unlocks. Skills are another matter though, but shouldn't be a prob. |
